WSU Industry & Defense Program (IDP) identified an opportunity for process improvement when contracts were coming in at rate that challenged the existing workflow. Due to this, the Document Tool was developed.
The contracting department identified a contract format that was frequently in use, identified the sections of the contract that needed to be editable, and the user interface supports contract changes as they come in. Once the editable fields are completed, the user can generate the contract that can then be editable. Once internal parties have confirmed content, the contract then goes through the normal queue until it is signed by all parties.
The Tool allows for these specific contracts to be generated at a quicker pace.
